Elizabeth is still doing well. Just waiting for Wednesday. I thought I would post on here about something Elizabeth wants to do someday. She loves her voice and it is very unique. She doesn't have any use of her vocal cords because they are both paralyzed and have actually hardened. They will never work. BUT she has learned to manipulate the tissue above the vocal cords and that is how she talks. The voice clinic in Cincinnati is amazed that she has good tone and can actually sing a scale. They said she is the only kid they have met that can do that. Most kids with her condition can talk in a low raspy voice with no range of tone.
SO the question is....does anyone know how to go about auditioning for voice-over work? She thinks it would be really cool to do a DIsney movie cartoon. It's just one of her dreams.

Trish/Elizabeth,
I just showed Dan your post about Elizabeth's voice. He has a friend at work (a bartender) who has made an audition tape for vocal work. Dan will ask him what he has done.
At least this is a place to start. Keep Dan in your prayers. It looks like he has found a room to rent in Brooklyn. This is a first step in the move. He also is pretty set on a part time job to start. He hopes to move the weekend after Labor Day. I can't believe it is only a little more than a month away. He has a lot of work to do to organize his stuff and pare down his possessions.
All of the IHM Sisters in Monroe and on the web are also continuing to pray for all of you. I was in Monroe last week for meetings and Jubilee and many were asking about Elizabeth. I had printed out a couple of pictures from your blog and gave them an update. They promised continued prayers and believe that Elizabeth's prayers also have special powers for their needs. My friend, Mary Ann, is in the last stages of cancer. She is preparing for death with much faith and has asked if Elizabeth could keep her in her prayers that she can make a faithfilled transition. Thanks in advance for your prayers.
Peace,
Rita Carey
I am glad to hear of your successful return home, Elizabeth. I am also glad to hear that you are working on your summer reading:) Please keep healthy beacuse your are my inspiration. Ms. Betz
Try the National Public Radio (NPR) sound stage. It would also be great if Elizabeth could write a "This I Believe" post about her experiences to go with it. (http://www.npr.org/thisibelieve).
What an amazing daughter. You must be overwhelmingly proud.
